Definition

This authorization object defines the authorizations for creating, displaying, and changing hierarchies in SAP Master Data Governance.

Defined fields

  • ACTVT: Specifies the activity (display, create, change)
  • USMD_MODEL: Specifies the data model
  • ENTITY: Specifies the entity type for which the hierarchy is defined
  • HRYVERS: Specifies the hierarchy version. This field is relevant only if the hierarchy is version-dependent.
  • H_KEY_FLD1: Specifies the name of the hierarchy. This field is only relevant if the hierarchy is not synchronized. Otherwise, you cannot edit this field. If the entity type that is used for the hierarchy name has a higher-level entity type, you enter a value in this field.
  • H_KEY_FLD2: If the entity type that represents the hierarchy name has a higher-level entity type, you enter the name of the hierarchy here.
  • ENTITY_NOD: Specifies the type of node for which you grant authorization. Allowed here are the entity type itself or all entity types defined in the data model as an Additional Entity Type in Hierarchies.
  • N_KEY_FLD1: Specifies the value of the node for which the authorization applies. If the node has additional lower-level nodes, the authorization also applies for these nodes. The following generally applies when removing or moving a node, or when inserting a new node.
  • Insert node "A" into the hierarchy under parent node "B": Change authorization must exist for node "B" or a higher-level node of node "B". For node "A" itself, the system does not carry out an authorization check.

  • Remove node "A" from parent node "B": Change authorization must exist for node "B" or a higher-level node of node "B". For node "A" itself, the system does not carry out an authorization check.

  • Move node "A" from parent node "B" to new parent node "C". Change authorization must exist for node "B" or a higher-level node of node "B", and for node "C" or a higher-level node of node "C". For node "A" itself, the system does not carry out an authorization check.

  • N_KEY_FLD2: If the entity type ENTITY_NOD has another higher-level entity type (compounding), the system fills this field. In this case, the field contains the value of the node and N_KEY_FLD1 contains the value of the higher-level entity type.
  • N_KEY_FLD3: Is required for multiple compounding.
