Definition

You use this authorization object to restrict the activities a user is allowed to perform on a transfer depending on the receiving sites (stores or distribution centers).

Defined fields

  • ACTVT: Defines the activities a user is allowed to perform on transfers and for the receiving site specified in RCVNG_SITE.
You can allow a user to perform one or more of the following activities:
01 Add or Create: User is allowed to create transfers.
02 Change: User is allowed to change transfers created by the user and other users.
03 Display: User is allowed to display transfers created by the user and other users.
06 Cancel: User is allowed to cancel transfers created by the user and other users.
10 Post: User is allowed to submit transfers created by the user and other users.

  • RCVNG_SITE: Defines the receiving sites for which a user is allowed to perform the activities.

By default, users that are authorized to create transfers also have the authority to display, change, and cancel transfers that they have created.

You can grant authorization to users to perform these activities on transfers created by other users by assigning the corresponding activities.

For users to be able to submit transfers, including the transfers of other users, you need to allow the Post activity.

Example

10 Post:

A junior store associate needs to create transfers to specific stores and to display, change, and cancel only these transfers:

  • You allow the junior store associate to create transfers by assigning the Add or Create activity to the corresponding user and specifying the stores to which the junior store associate can transfer products.
  • The junior store associate can create transfers to the specified stores and cancel, change, and display them.
  • The junior store associate cannot cancel, change, display, or submit the transfers of other users.
10 Post:

A senior store associate needs to create, display, change, cancel, and submit transfers, including the transfers created by a junior store associate:

  • You allow the senior store associate to create and submit transfers by assigning the Add or Create and the Post activities to the corresponding user and specifying the stores to which the senior store associate can transfer products.
  • You allow the senior store associate to submit the transfers created by the junior store associate by assigning the Display activity to the corresponding user and specifying the stores for which the senior store associate can display transfers of other users.
Note: Without the authorization to display transfers of other users, a user cannot see the transfers of others and therefore cannot submit transfers created by other users.
10 Post:

A senior store associate is the supervisor of other store associates and needs to perform all activities on all transfers:

  • You allow the supervisor to perform all activities on all transfers by assigning all activities to the corresponding user.
  • The supervisor can create, display, change, cancel, and submit all transfers of all users.

The following table gives an overview of the dependencies between the activities:

To be allowed to ... Submit Create Cancel Change Display
my own transfers I need activity <...> Submit Create + + +
transfers created by others I need activity <...> Submit n.a. Cancel Change Display

Read the table as follows:

To be allowed to cancel transfers created by others I need activity Cancel.

Legend

+: ,,This activity is by default assigned to users with activity create.

n.a.:,,This activity is not applicable because a user cannot create transfers for another user.
