Converting from type X to number type
Tip-No.: 1154

Symptom

1. Type X fields (HEX/X) of length 1, 2 or 3 are converted without
a +/- sign; length 4 fields are converted with +/- signs.
2. If the length >4, only the last 4 bytes are taken into account.
