EXPORT TO/IMPORT FROM DATABASE
Tip-No.: 1573

Symptom

Commands EXPORT TO DATABASE and IMPORT FROM DATABASE do not work
correctly if:
(1) the contents of the table are not suited to the created table
structure
(2) parameters from FORMs or FUNCTIONS were exported or imported
without structure specification, although they contain structures
(3) in Release 1.1A, 1.1B: if parameters with structure specifications
were exported.
More exact: The contents of type I or F fields are muted if the
EXPORT and IMPORT were executed on different computers
with different data formats.

Cause

(1) and (2): error in application program: the data structures must be
known by the EXPORT and IMPORT commands.
(3): program error in the C-core.

Solution

(1) and (2): corrections in the corresponding application programs.
(3): Corr. No. B11K003356 in Release 1.1C.
