Symptom

Matchcode display does not select as expected when a date is given.

Cause

Date was presumably not entered in format YYYYMMDD.

Solution

The date for matchcode selection must be specified in YYYYMMDD format.
Reason:
It should be possible to enter the selection values for MC-search
both via F4 and via fast entry using selection string '=M....'
in the same way. Since the '.' is used as the separator character
in the selection, the date cannot (uniquely) be entered in DD.MM.JJJJ
format. Incidentally, entry in format YYYYMMDD also allows generic
entry (e.g. YYYY*), since this format also corresponds to the sort
sequence in the MC table.
