Character set conversion for batch input.
Tip-No.: 2736
Symptom
No umlauts can be used in batch input.
Cause
The batch input data was not in the character set ISO8859-1.
Solution
When creating batch input data, please note that it must correspond
to the char. set of the R/3 application server.
Generally, when reading a sequential file, no char. set conversion takes
place - i.e. if you want to read in a file using ABAP means, then this
file must be in the correct character set.
