Matchcodes in selection screens
Tip-No.: 514

Symptom

1. Matchcodes should be active in selection screens.
2. The matchcode specification in the program is not transferred
correctly.

Cause

1. In the declaration of the selections, the matchcode specifications
was forgotten.
2. The name of the matchcode object was specified in single quotes.

Solution

1. Matchcode specification takes place with supplement MATCHCODE OBJECT
xxxx to PARAMETERS/SELECT-OPTIONS in ABAP program.
2. Enter matchcode ... MATCHCODE OBJECT xxxx directly (without single
quotes around xxxx) |
