Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Industry Extension Catch Weight Management, Enhancement Package 4 (IS-CWM 604), the CWM, New Architecture: Inventory Management, Inventory Accounting in ERP (/CWM/CM_1) business function is available.

You can use this business function to utilize the SAP Catch Weight Management (SAP CWM) functions as a new customer. SAP CWM is aimed at the requirements of the consumer products industry in general, and the food processing industry in particular, and offers processes and functions with which you can manage materials within the supply chain (sales, purchase, materials management, production, quality management and logistics execution) in two units of measure that are independent of each other.

With this business function you activate a CWM version that is based on an new architecture. For more information about the functions that have been changed, see the following release notes:

Effects on Existing Data

With this business function, the additional components Logistics Inventory Management Engine (LIME) and Inventory Accounting (FIN-BAC-INV) are no longer used in SAP CWM. Instead, you can use the standard functions of the Financial Accounting and Controlling components.
