Goods Receipt and Good Issue

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ECC 6.0, Industry Extension Catch Weight Management (IS-CWM 605), the CWM, Finalization of Architectural Change and New Processes (/CWM/CM_2) business function is available:

Support for parallel quantities in IDoc DELVRY07

IDoc DELVRY07 supports parallel quantities, for example, for communication with external warehouses both inbound and also outbound.

Default quantities in the delivery

Default values for the picking quantity are created for the outbound delivery based on the average conversion factor for the selected stock, based on the pick or delivery quantity first created. As an alternative, you can use a BAdI implementation for a separate logic for determining the default value:
BAdI: Default data logic for quantities in different application components

In the case of inbound deliveries (transaction VL31N), default quantities are detemined based on the conversion factor in the material master.

EWM Connection to a CWM System,,

You can use SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) starting from SAP Catch Weight Management.

SAP EWM a part of SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) and is used to manage the material inventory in a separate Warehouse Management System. SAP EWM supports the processing of two different units of measure.

To be able to use SAP EWM in SAP ERP in which SAP CWM is active, the existing connection between SAP ERP and SAP EWM has been enhanced with a second unit of measure with this function.

Using the new function, you can now conveniently replicate the relevant material master data from an SAP CWM system in an SAP EWM system, and use the SAP EWM functions, for example stock putaway or retrieval with both CW materials and non-CW materials.

The existing CWM screen sequence (CW) for the material master data in the ERP system has been adapted to the requirements of EWM, and is now called CE. This means that by using the following ERP transactions, you can also process in a CWM system material master data that you want to replicate in a connected EWM system.

  • MM01,,Create Material
  • MM02,,Change Material
  • MM03,,Display Material
