SAP Compliance Management - Nested Licenses (New)

Use

Starting in Release 7.1 of SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS), you can model the license requirements imposed by the American International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) regulations. According to these regulations, licenses that are limited by value may be necessary to trade with military articles, aviation technology, nuclear biology, and other goods deemed relevant to national security in the following areas:

• Technical data, such as plans and drawings

• Defense service, such as consulting and mechanics

• Hardware

The license for hardware is a regular export license that was already available

in the export control function of SAP Compliance Management. An export license of this type must be assigned to an agreement in order to export products that are subject to ITAR.

The individual licenses are summarized in an agreement with longer-term validity, and can be reduced in value appropriately according to your system settings for the determination strategy. The classification with United States Munitions List (USML) codes determines which agreement type has to be used for a product and which individual licenses have to be contained therein.

If you want to use nested licenses in SAP Compliance Management, perform the activities for the "Legal Control" service in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP GTS. These activities are located in the IMG for SAP GTS under SAP Compliance Management-> 'Legal Control' Service.
