Application Log in SAP GTS 7.0 (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) 7.0, you can use the enhanced control settings for application logs to reduce your enterprise IT costs and improve system performance.

You can use the application log persistance control to reduce the data load on your hard drive.

You can use the application log scope control to reduce the number of log entries and messages, thereby speeding up your system reaction time.

We recommend you select the option to always save changes in the test system and you select the option to save only when errors occur in the productive system.

From the point of view of checking business processes, you should always assign a full document check to ensure all the documents are checked.

From a technical point of view, it is not necessary to log every change to a data record and therefore we recommend a reduced error-based log.
