SOP: Interfaces Between SOP and Other Applications

Description

CO/PA

As in Release 2.2, you can set the sales quotas of product groups by transferring existing data from CO/PA.

Demand Management

In Release 3.0, an additional strategy has been provided for the transfer of SOP data to Demand Management. You can now transfer material data direct from an information structure, either online or in the background.

Cost Center Accounting

You can now pass on production planning data from standard SOP to Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA) where the cost of producing the planned quantities is determined. Your company therefore has accurate, up-to-date estimates of the costs that will be charge by a cost center for different types of production activity.

Effects on Customizing

CO/PA

You can configure the transfer of data from CO/PA to SOP in User parameters.

Demand Management

You can configure profiles for the transfer of data from SOP to Demand Management in Transfer profiles. (Alternatively, you can do so from within the application.)

In order to define a mass processing job to transfer data to Demand Management, you assign the transfer profile to an activity in Activities. (Alternatively, you can do so from within the application.)

Cost Center Accounting

You configure the transfer of SOP data to CO-CCA in Transfer activity planning control.

Changes to the Interface

Demand Management

You transfer data from Sales & Operations Planning to Demand Management either online or in the background.

ONLINE PROCESSING

You transfer the planning data of one material direct from an information structure to Demand Management in one of two ways:

• with Transfer to Demand Management -> Info structure in the Environment menu of flexible planning

• with Edit -> Transfer to Demand Management from within the planning table

MASS PROCESSING

In order to define a mass processing job to transfer data to Demand Management, you assign the transfer profile to an activity with Mass processing -> Activities in the Settings menu. (Alternatively, you can do so in Customizing.)

You create and schedule a mass processing job to transfer SOP data to Demand Management in the Planning menu.

Cost Center Accounting

You transfer SOP data to CO-CCA with CO activity requirements -> Transfer to cost ctr in the Environment menu.
