Routings: Archiving

Description

In Release 3.0D, the program to archive and delete routings has changed. For information about the most important features, refer to the general release note Application Data Archiving.

Effects on Customizing

SAP has preset the archiving program control. If you want to check or change the settings, read Define control parameters for archiving runs in the Implementation Guide.

Changes to the Interface

The routing maintenance menu was extended. For 3.0D, you will find the menu option Delete task lists -> Archiving under the Extras menu.

Changes in procedure

For additional information about procedures, refer to the WinHelp documentation using the menu path Help -> R/3 Library -> Basis components -> System administration -> Application Data Archiving.

To call up archiving centrally, select the menu options Tools -> Administration and then Administration -> Archiving.

Actions to level dataset

Routings from older R/3 Releases may only have deletion flags for individual change statuses.

You can use program RCPREDEL to extend existing deletion flags to all change statuses of a routing. Use this program once after transferring data from an older release to achieve the same level of data for old and new routings. This is especially important if you want to enter deletion flags as a selection criterion for your archiving run with a deletion program.
