Short text

Profile Generator:,,Automatic Generation of Authorization Profiles
,,,,,,,,,,Based on Selected Transactions

Description

The Profile Generator has the following advantages:

  • Easy administration requiring no knowledge of technical details
  • Authorization profiles based on selected transactions
  • Scope of authorization checks can be reduced
  • Validity of authorization profiles can be limited

During the implementation and customizing of the R/3 System, you can select the applications components to be actually used in your organization. The company menu is automatically generated on the basis of the selected components.

On the basis of the company menu, you can define activity groups. For each activity group, authorizations are automatically created by the Profile Generator. These are then presented for fine tuning. Finally, the Profile Generator creates an authorization profile for the activity group.

You can then assign activity groups and profiles to individual users. You can also limit the validity period of activity groups and thus of the profiles.

Such user menus and the company menu are used as the basis for the Session Manager.

The Profile Generator can be integrated with HR-Org (organizational management, time dependency).
