Description
Links to the Human Resource Management System (HR)
Up to now you could only link a work center in Logistics (LO) with people, positions, qualifications and requirement profiles in HR if, in Customizing for the work center, the Integration switch: Logistics was set in Define control data for HR integration. In this case, a work center with the same name was created in HR. Links between the Logistics work center and HR were via this HR work center, which was invisible for the user.
As from Release 4.0A this switch no longer exists; the transaction Define control dat for HR integration has been deleted. If you want to link a LO work center with positions, people, qualifications or requirement profiles, you now have to assign the LO work center to a HR work center, creating a new one if one does not already exist. You can then create links to further objects.
Assigning a Work Center to an HR organizational unit
Instead of assigning a work center(LO) to a an HR work center you can assign it to an organizational unit in HR. The assignment of people, positions, qualifications and requirement profile to the organizational unit is maintained in HR and cannot be changed in Logistics(LO).
Assigning a Work Center to a Cost Center
Up to now, if you assigned a LO work center to a cost center, the corresponding HR work center would also be assigned to the cost center.
from Release 4.0A this link no longer exists. If you assign a LO work center to a cost center it has no effect on the HR work center and vice versa.
New Screen for Maintaining Assignments
Previously the assignment of people, positions, qualifications and requirement profiles in HR to LO
work centers or capacities was carried out on three different work center screens. From Release 4.0A
you can maintain these assignments on just one screen, which you can reach from both work center maintenance and capacity maintenance by choosing
