Capacity planning table in temporary save mode (restricted planning)

Description

As of Release 4.0A you can call up the capacity planning table in a mode in which you can temporarily save the results of planning without automatically leaving the planning table. A saving log informs you about the result of saving.

To start the planning table in this mode you must set the indicator Restrict.plan. in the control profile. This planning table mode is called up with an appropriate overall profile for capacity leveling that you enter with Leveling -> Variable -> Online in the main menu of capacity planning. In the SAP standard the overall profile SAPSFCG016 is available for capacity leveling of production orders in the work center view.

During the saving procedure you can continue working on the planning table. Changes since the last start of saving are saved in the next saving procedure.

This planning mode differs from the normal planning mode in several respects:

  • Except during the saving process the orders are locked neither when the capacity planning table is being generated nor during processing. The specification in the control profile on Locking properties is not taken into account.
  • There are the following limitation to the planning functions:
  • Operations cannot be dispatched to individual capacities

  • Orders cannot be displayed or changed.

  • Sequence numbers of orders cannot be changed.

  • Capacities cannot be changed.

  • Operations cannot be displayed. Only limited changes are possible to operations in production orders. Here you can change the standard values.

  • You cannot use the event CY_PLANNING_TABLE_END in the control profile to trigger further actions, such as mass dispatching, on leaving the planning table.
