Flexible Planning: Events

Release 4.0A comes with a number of changes to the handling of events in Flexible Planning:

When you insert event lines in a planning type, you must now choose a key figure to which the Corrected line will be automatically copied. This key figure line is automatically defined as an Auxiliary line; therefore, it is not visible in the planning table. Since the corrected values are saved in this key figure, they are available on the database for copying to another information structure or for transfer to Demand Management. In Releases 3.0 and 3.1 you had manually to create a macro that copied the Corrected line to a key figure line.

The results of an event do not become visible in the Corrected line of the planning table until you change the original planning figures and resave the planning version. In periods where you have not changed the original planning figures, the impact of events is not shown in the Corrected line - even if you have resaved the planning version.

By double-clicking in the left-hand column of the planning table, you can see the results of individual events. This function is particularly useful if you have more than one cumulative or proportional event.
