New development for car mileage

Scope of Functions

Infotype 'Company Car GB' (0222) can now handle four different car schemes:

- Company Car User (already existing functionality, subtype: COMP)
- Essential Car User (subtype: ESSE)
- Casual Car User (subtype: CASU)
- Motor Cycle User (subtype: MOTO)

A separate subtype has been created for each scheme. The functionality for the subtype 'Company Car' is nearly unchanged, but a new field collecting the private miles driven by the employee has been added.

A new screen is now available for essential car, casual car and motor cycle users. Lump sum payment for essential car users is read from a customising table but can be overwritten manually.

A new payroll function 'GPCS' to calculate the Fixed Profit Car Scheme has been created. It determines the car allowance per payroll period and splits it proportionally, according to the miles driven by the employee, into the NI'able and Non-NI'able parts.

The relevant reports for year-end reporting have been adjusted. Report 'Batch Input Copying of Company Car Infotype Records ' (RPUCCIG0) has been changed to handle all four subtypes. Report 'Interface Travel Expenses to GB Company Car Infotype' (RPCBSMG0) can also distribute private miles for every car scheme.

Effects on Data Transfer

Data from the old infotype structure will be converted into the new one by an XPRA report (RPU46BCAR), which runs automatically after system upgrade. It converts the old subtype, containing the internal car number, to the car scheme 'COMP'. For detailed information see the report documentation.

Effects on Customizing

Standard customising, supporting all four car schemes, has be provided. This includes entries in the new tables (T5GPBS41/2/3), settings for the new subtypes (T591A) and screens (T588M, feature P0222). Moreover the standard customising for car mileage requires customising in Travel Management. Pre-customising is provided for the vehicle classes/types corresponding to the car schemes.
