Short text

EnjoySAP - Workflow Builder for Defining Workflows

Scope of Functions

The graphical workflow editor has been renamed Workflow Builder.

The Workflow Builder can be accessed via Definition tools -> Workflow Builder. It is, therefore, no longer necessary to create a multistep task beforehand.

In line with the Enjoy initiative, this tool has also been improved in the following respects:

  • New screen areas
The Workflow Builder consists of the following screen areas, the relative sizes of which can be changed:
  • Hierarchical navigation tree

  • Navigation area

  • Display and modeling area

  • "Insertable objects" area

  • "Available tasks" area

In this new area, you have access to the Business Workflow Explorer. The context menu (right-hand mouse button) can be used there to choose a search range (task group, etc.). Tasks can also be inserted into the workflow definition by double-clicking.
  • Message area

This new area displays error messages and warnings when a workflow is subjected to a syntax check. The syntax check covers what was previously covered by syntax check and extended check. Double-clicking on the error message or warning takes you to the task that has errors.
  • Context menus via the right-hand mouse button
Within the Workflow Builder, you can use the right-hand mouse button to display context menus for various functions. This applies to steps within the workflow definition, tasks, errors, warnings and all entries within the hierarchical navigation tree.
  • Double-click function
The Workflow Builder supports selection by "double-clicking" the left-hand mouse button. You can use this method to insert tasks from the area "Available tasks" into the workflow definition, for example.
  • Where-used list for container elements
The context menu can be used to display a where-used list for individual container elements.
  • New line layout
A "rounded" line layout is used in the new Workflow Builder.
  • New icons
There are new icons for all step types.
  • Step display in HTML
The task description of workflow steps is now displayed in HTML.
  • Condition editor
The operation of the condition editor has been simpified considerably. For example, operators can be inserted into the condition using an application toolbar.
  • Version creation for workflows
The workflow system now creates a new version of a workflow whenever you transport a workflow into another system.
This prevents any productive version of this workflow in the target system being overwritten by chance.
