Definition of Costing Variants
Scope of Functions
The costing variant contains all the information you need to carry out a material cost estimate.
To simplify the process of defining and editing costing variants, Customizing has been streamlined. You can now do carry out the following steps directly from the costing variant:
- Define or edit all the control parameters, including
- costing type
- valuation variant
- date control
- quantity structure control
- transfer control
- reference variant
- Check or define all assignments
- cost component structure assignments
- costing version
- Activate the cost component split in the controlling area currency
- Activate cross-company costing
- Go to the settings for error management
