South African - Employment Equity Act Report

Scope of Functions

As of release 4.6A, the Employment Equity Act Report is available. This report has been created based on South African requirements from the Employment Equity Act (Act No. 75 from 1997).

According to this act, as of June 1999, designated employers in South Africa must report the following information to the government:

  • the ethnic mix of their organization
  • the gender mix of their organization
  • the percentage of disabled employees within their organization.

The purpose of the Employment Equity Act is to achieve equity in the South African workplace.
