WebFlow Enhancements

Use

WebFlow makes it possible to execute workflows between enterprises.

WebFlow can react to inbound XML documents and send XML documents. WebFlow supports the transfer protocol Wf-XML (Version 1.0 Beta of the Workflow Management Coalition, draft version of 11 January 2000). The XML data can also be sent without an envelope.

When an XML document arrives in the R/3 System, a WebFlow can be started. The XML document is passed to the WebFlow, which subjects the data received to further processing. The WebFlow sends feedback to the sender of the XML document.

When a WebFlow is started in the R/3 System, you can use the new step type Web activity. XML documents are sent with this step type. You can define the transfer protocol used and also specify whether or not the WebFlow is to wait for a response from the receiving system.
