IMG Structure for SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure 4.0 (Changed)

Use

As of SAP AII 40the IMG contains the following changes :

Basic Settings

"The following changes have been made under Barcode Settings:

  • Define Application ID Type and Application ID is renamed to Define Barcode Types and Application Identifiers
  • Electronic Product Code (EPC) Settings is renamed to ID Settings
  • Define EPC Settings is renamed to Define ID Settings

The following changes have been made under Integration:

  • BI Update Settings is added to support integration with Business Intelligence (BI)
  • A Mobile Device Integration section is added. It includes the following:
  • Define Tag Fields

  • Define Tag Formats

  • Define Mobile Device Errors

  • Maintain Element Sets is renamed to Maintain Element Sets and Attributes
  • Maintain Profile is renamed to Maintain Data Profile

Print Settingshave been moved to the SAP Easy Accessscreen under Auto-ID Infrastructure → Master Data → Settings for Tag commissioning / Label Printing. In addition, Assign profile for printinghas beenreplaced by the following options on the SAP Easy Accessscreen:

  • Profiles for Tag Commissioning and Label Printing
  • Assign Profile to GTIN and Filter Value

  • Assign Profile to GRAI and Filter Value

  • Assign Profile to Filter Value

The IMG activity Assign Format to Printer and Profile has moved to the SAP Easy Access screen under Settings for Tag Commissioning and Label Printing .

Pack Settings have been added to the IMG with the following nodes:

  • Assign Pack Levels to Filter Values
  • REFERENCE ONLY: SAP Delivered Pack Levels

UI (User Interface) Settingshave been added to the IMG with the following nodes:

  • Assign Auto-ID Cockpit URL
  • Assign BI Query URL

Master Data

Location has been added to the IMG with the following node:

  • Define External Location Types

The following nodes have been added under Device:

  • Set Processing Preferences for Device Controller/ Message Type
  • Define Device Controller Event

Conditions and Rules

The following changes have been made under Activities:

  • Determine Business Processesis removed
  • Define Business Processesis added
  • Assign Action Type to Business Process is added
  • Assign Action Type to Device Group Rolesis added

The following changes have been made under Conditions and Message Types:

  • Define Condition Types, Application Log and Monitoring per message type is renamed to Define Condit. Types, Applic. Log, & Monitoring for Msg. Type
  • REFERENCE ONLY: SAP Delivered Conditions for Mobile Messages is added
  • REFERENCE ONLY: SAP Delivered Conditions for Backend Messages is added

NOTE: For additional information, see the release note Upgrading from SAP AII 2.1 to 4.0.

Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)

The following Business Add-Ins are added:

  • BAdI /AIN/BADI_ID_CONV - if you need to encode / decode your ID, you must also implement this BAdI
  • BAdI /AIN/BARCODE_DECODE - can be used instead of standard barcode decoding (that is, if the standard barcode decoding function module /AIN/UI_BARCODE_TRANS does not support specific application identifiers used in the barcode).
  • BAdI /AIN/PRF000001 - checks if profiles can be deleted
  • BAdI /AIN/PRF000002 - this filter dependent BAdI allows you to provide value help for user-defined attributes, or to override the SAP AII delivered attributes.
  • BAdI /AIN/PRF000003 - is used to influence profile determination for print and user data profiles
  • BAdI /AIN/ACTVT000002 - is used to transfer customer defined fields from SAP AII to Business Intelligence
  • BAdI /AIN/ACTVT000003 - determines the product for an object
  • BAdI /AIN/ACTVT000004 - determination of the version for an object's ID
  • BAdI /AIN/ACTVT000005 - is used to match objects contained in a message with the corresponding items in the backend document
