APO-PPS-FUD: Explosion in PP/DS

Use

As of Release 3.0A (First Customer Shipment and Support Package 1), two new methods of explosion have been added to the APO System. In addition to the production process model and the BOM and routing in the R/3 System, you also have the following options:

• An individual explosion of the iPPE (integrated product and process engineering). This is used for configured products and integrated line design.

• An explosion using the planning matrix

Planning with the planning matrix is based on the iPPE data and is particularly suitable for products with a lots of variants and high order volumes.

The APO planned order does not contain its own dependent requirements. The dependent requirements are in the matrix. This enables a rapid explosion of configured products.
