APO-ATP-RBA: Enhancements to the Access Strategy
Use
Additional access strategies are available as of Release 3.0A (support package 2).
Up until now, you could use the following access strategies:
- Start from top of list (01 = fixed value)
- Work forward from input, then backward from input (02 = fixed value)
- Work forward from input, cyclically (03 = fixed value)
- Start from bottom of list (04 = fixed value)
- Work backward from input, then forward from input (05 = fixed value)
- Work backward from input, cyclically (06 = fixed value)
As of Release 3.0A (SP2), you can use the additional access strategies:
- Work forward from input (07 = fixed value)
- Work backward from input (08 = fixed value)
- Process list from start until input (09 = fixed value)
- Process list from bottom until input (10 = fixed value)
The access strategies can be used for substitution lists for product substitutions, location determinations and location product substitutions.
Using the new access strategies, the system can choose substitutions when evaluating the rules. This is similar to an upgrade (or downgrade). This is necessary, for example, if the customer does not wish to receive lower quality versions of the desired product.
The new access strategies are valid only for inclusive rules. For exclusive rules, strategy (01) includes access strategies (07) and (09). Strategy (04) includes strategies (08) and (10).
