Pegging with Characteristics in CDP (Changed)

Use

In SAP APO 4.0, the maintenance in characteristics propagation of Characteristics-Dependent Planning(CDP) is simplified.

If a demand does not have a characteristic requirement, but does have characteristic value asignments, the system uses characteristic value assignments for pegging. If characteristic value asignments already exist, you do not need to define characteristic requirements when defining characteristic propagation in the production process model(PPM) for the input components. This is only necessary if the characteristic value asignments vary from the characteristic requirements.

Effects on Existing Data

Existing orders keep the characteristic values from the configuration in characteristic requirements. The configured characteristics only use new orders now as characteristic value asignments.
