PP/DS: Charts in the DS Planning Board
Scope of Functions
Static Network View Charts for Operations and Orders
Up to now you could define network view charts in the detailed scheduling planning board (DS planning board, DS: Detailed Scheduling) only as dynamic charts, which you can hide and show in the detailed scheduling planning board. Now you can also define the network view charts as static charts, which are always displayed in the planning board. You make the respective settings in Customizing for Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling in the DS Planning Board Profile.
Accessing Dynamic Charts
As of Release 2.0, you can show dynamic net and histogram charts (resource load curves, product stock curves) by choosing Extras in the detailed scheduling planning board. You can show these charts in two different ways:
- As a new chart in the planning board by choosing Display as chart
- As a dialog box by choosing Display as dialog box
- You can reschedule operations and orders in the dialog box in the same way as in a normal chart, with drag&drop or with scheduling functions. You can also double-click objects (products or orders, for example) to display the objects' details.
Pool Charts
The standard planning board profile SAP003 provides a resource chart in the detailed scheduling planning board for both the scheduled operations and for the deallocated operations (pool chart). When you deallocate an operation, it disappears from the resource chart for scheduled operations and is displayed in the resource chart for deallocated operations.
Sorting Rows
You can sort the rows in a selected chart according to different criteria by choosing Edit -> Change sort. You can sort according to the resource name in the resource chart or sort according to the start date of the orders in the order chart, for example. You can sort the selected chart according to the current settings in the sort criteria by choosing Edit -> Sort again. You can sort the order chart again according to the start date of the orders after you have changed the dates by rescheduling, for example.
Changing the Height of Histograms
You can change the height of a histogram in a histogram chart by pointing the mouse at the lower border of the histogram - the top of the mouse pointer turns into a double arrow on the line - and, whilst pressing the left mouse button, pulling the histogram to the required height.
Printing
In the planning board, you can print all the charts in the planning board together by choosing Print -> All charts.
