New Order Selection in Product Cost Controlling Information System
Description
In Release 4.5A the Product Cost Controlling Information System provides a new type of order selection in Cost Object Controlling that does not require order classification. The selection criteria are the master data fields of the tables of the general order master (AUFK), and the order header and order item of manufacturing orders (AFKO and AFPO).
This significantly reduces system utilization during selection and update of orders compared with classification.
If you have used classification up to now, you can continue to use the characteristics of classification as selection criteria.
It is also possible to use only the master data fields as selection criteria but then add them to the output the classification characteristics of orders for which classification is active.
The result of the selection is a list of orders. You can use the functions of the ABAP List Viewer to modify the list (such as to add subtotals, use ABC analysis, or set filters).
To avoid long run times while the report data is being formatted, you can generate extracts while the report is being executed. An extract is a saved dataset that contains the report data selected at the time the extract was generated.
Effects on Customizing
In the sections under "Maintain report parameters for Product Cost Controlling" in the Implementation Guide of the information system, select the master data fields that you want to have displayed in the results list of order selection.
