Securities and Update Types (New)

Use

From SAP R/3 Enterprise Financial Services 2.00 (EA-FINSERV 200), you need to assign update types to cash flow indicators and indicators for fictitious cash flows. In the future, you will also need to assign flow types to cash flow indicators and indicators for fictitious transactions for all other financial transactions too. The new update type was required to make it possible to store parallel balances in CFM.

You find the relevant IMG activity in Customizing under SAP Banking → Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM) → Risk Analysis → Common Settings for Market Risk and ALM → Valuation → Cash Flow Indicator and Fictitious Cash Flow Indicator → Assign Cash Flow Indicator for Securities with Update Types.
