Valuation of Operative CFM Class Positions in Securities Account (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 5.00, Financial Services (EA-FS 500), you can integrate costing operative positions from Corporate Finance Management (CFM) into Profitability Analysis (SEM Banking). As well as valuating the positions from SEM Banking, Profitability Analysis can valuate CFM positions as well. The system selects the CFM positions from the CFM database tables, costs them, and then updates the results of the valuation into the operating concern.

Effects on Customizing

The costing rules for CFM and SEM Banking positions differ according to the source of the transactions. As of SAP ECC 5.00, Financial Services (EA-FS 500), you can, therefore, use the transaction source field in Customizing for the costing rule. You can either fill this field with the value 1 for data poolor 2 for operational SAP application. The field only appears if you have selected procedure groups that apply to both CFM and SEM Banking positions.

Similarly, this release includes a SEM Banking-specific valuation area (Activate CFM Valuation Area for Position Evaluation) for the CFM positions in Customizing for Profitability Analysis. You can use this to activate a valuation area for each CFM accounting code to valuate operative positions.

For more information on required Customizing settings, refer to the note 780827 ("Customizing Note on Parallel Position Management").
