Employee Accounts

Description

As of release 4.02 A it is possible for your employees to use their own accounts by means of online banking. To this end we have developed additional authorization checks, because in the case of using your own accounts, these checks could be different from those under normal circumstances.

Definition of an employee account

An account is considered an employee account if the current user (regognizable from the logon name) is the account holder or authorized drawer of this account and the product of the account has provisions for an employee check. An exception are the AND (joint) accounts. These are not considered as employee accounts for online banking.

The following functions, for example, are allowed for employee accounts using online banking: (The functions mentioned here are contained in the supplied sample profile for employee accounts).

  • Displaying the account master data (the internal limit is hidden)
  • Displaying the account turnovers and balances
  • Creating, changing and displaying a standing order
  • Entering certain bank transfers

Great care has been taken to ensure that accounts of employees are particulary protected. This protection has been achieved, for example, by the use of an own authorization group for employee accounts.

Special features of the authorization check

The additional authorization checks are effected with three new authorization objects:

  • F_EMAC_MTH for the methods
  • F_EMAC_TRN for the transaction types (in payment transactions)
  • F_EMAC_FDG for the fields in the account

Using these authorization objects, the system checks which fields of an account should be visible to employees and which objects and methods should be possible. An example for the combination of objects and methods is 'Posting a payment item'.

Prerequisite

  • Employee account management must be switched on in the product configurator.
  • The field 'User name' must be maintained in the business partner master data.
  • You must have assigned the special authorizations for the management of employee accounts.
