Amount Authorization Maintenance for Payment Orders and Payment Items

Description

In the case of payment orders and payment items it could be necessary to make an additional check of the authorization before posting takes place. In the Implementation Guide you can define as of what amount a certain authorization check is to take place and if, additionally, as of this amount, release should be made in accordance with the prínciple of dual control.

Effects on Customizing

To issue amount-dependent authorizations, depending on bank area, the product and the transaction type, enter what authorizations a user requires before being allowed to post payment orders and payment items. Enter a maximum amount that the user is allowed to post. The highest authorization is the one not containing an amount limit and not subject to the principle of dual control.

Before posting, the system checks the table to see if an amount limit is defined for the corresponding combination of bank area, product and transaction type. Priority decreases from left to right.

With regard to the amount limit, the system first checks if the user has the appropriate authorization. The check starts with the highest amount, then there is a check to see if the user is allowed to post the second highest amount, and so on.

If the principle of dual control is defined in Customizing, the payment order or payment item is first only parked and must subsequently be released for posting by another user.
