Calling Up Account Maintenance

Description

The introduction of the product configurator has resulted in changes to the initial screen and menus for editing accounts:

Initial screen

When creating an account, the initial screen with the listing of products for the selected product groups no longer applies. Instead, you select the product using the F4 help.

Menus

As of release 4.02 A, there are three entries available to you for account maintenance:

• Create

• Change

• Display

The points relating to product groups have been removed.

Changes in procedure

Creating an account

• On the initial screen you must enter the account opening date. This is necessary so that the system can determine the version of the product valid at the time the account was opened.

• The field 'Status enhancement' no longer applies. You can activate an account with the field 'Status'. The current status of an account is also displayed on the account. Prerequisite for this is that you have defined the possible states in the IMG by choosing Master data-> Account-> Define status.

Changing or displaying an account

The selection options on the initial screen have become more accomodating. Other fields have been added to the initial screen with which you can find an account using business partner data. A list of them follows:

• Name

• First name

• Road

• City (of residence)

• Business partner

• Role category
