Limit Management Functions (Enhanced)

Use

As of Release Banking 4.63 / CFM 2.0 the following new limit management functions are available:

  • Generated characteristics for analysis structure
You can now use the generated characteristics in the analysis structure for the limit management area, as well as for market risk analysis. The generated characteristics are available for all objects that have a market risk component in the financial object.
  • Limit transfer
This function allows you to transfer available limit amounts from one limit to another within the same limit type.
  • 24-hour capability
You can now activate a restricted 24-hour capability option, which allows you to capture newly-created transactions in limit management via the single transaction check while the program for generating utilizations is running. These transactions are then considered by the single transaction check and the utilization run.
  • Improved performance
In order to speed up the run for generating utilizations, various performance improvements have been incorporated into the limit management system. For more information, see the release note Performance Improvements in the Default Risk and Limit System.
  • Revised dialog box with results of single transaction check
The dialog box for the single transaction check has been revised to return the results for a single transaction together (for example, issuer and counterparty risks). You can then branch to the single records in a second step.
  • Direction of business partner relationships
You can now specify in Customizing how business partner relationships should be interpreted. You can specify that transactions concluded with partner 1 should be counted towards the utilization for partner 2 (as before), or that transactions from partner 2 should be counted towards the utilization for partner 1.
