Processing Characteristics (New)

Use

Loans Management supports processing characteristics that contain information about the life cycle of a loan. A display of these characteristics is available in contract processing. These characteristics provide loans processing staff with an overview of the status of a loan during its expiry period. You can choose to evaluate the processing characteristics in your own applications.

  • The following processing characteristics are supported:
  • Disbursement Status:

Informs the user of the disbursement obligation and the value-dated capital for the contract. The value for this characteristic is determined for a contract according to the capital amounts based on the posted flows. The following characteristic values are supported:
Not disbursed, Partially disbursed, Fully disbursed, Fully waived
  • Status of Capital Amounts:

Informs the user about the remaining capital and effective capital in the contract. The value for this characteristic is determined for a contract according to the capital amounts based on the posted flows. The following characteristic values are supported:
Remaining capital > 0, Remaining capital = 0, Remaining and effective capital = 0.
  • Status of Customer Receivables

Informs the user of the receivables listed for the customer and the contract. The value for this characteristic is determined for a contract according to the open items for the customer, based on the posted flows. The SAP System only determines the processing characteristic in the expiry phase of a loan. The following values are supported:
Not relevant, Open receivables exist, All receivables cleared.
  • Status of Customer Payables

Informs the user of the payables listed for the customer and the contract. This covers advance and overpayments, refunds and payments to third parties. The value for this characteristic is determined for a contract according to the open items for the customer based on the posted flows. The SAP System only determines the processing characteristic in the expiry phase of a loan. The following values are supported:
Not relevant, Open payables exist, All payables cleared.
  • Status of Planned Records

Informs the user of the cash flow and flows for the contract that still have to be posted. The value for this characteristic is determined for a contract on the basis of non-posted flows in the cash flow. The SAP System only determines the processing characteristic in the expiry phase of a loan. The following values are supported:
Planned records exist, No planned records exist.
The indicators used previously, such as the disbursement indicator SBEA are not being replaced at present.
  • All of the standard applications that you use to change the contract data or flow data of a loan also update the processing characteristics after a change has been made. (For example, the processing characteristic Disbursement Status can be changed by the Disbursement function.)This update cannot be guaranteed if you have made the change using a customer-defined program.
  • During the upgrade to Release Banking 4.63/CFM 2.0, the processing characteristics for all loans must be set to their initial values if you want to use them. For this purpose you can use the report Processing Characteristics, under Infosystem → Reports→ Position/Position Trend. The report determines the values for the processing characteristics for the loan and saves them.
You also need to use the report if:
  • Loans have been copied to the position using the external data transfer.

  • The customer has used their own program that could affect the values for the processing charcteristics of a loan.
