Short text

Deposit Banking: Allowances (New)

Use

From SAP R/3 Enterprise Financial Services 2.00 (EA-FINSERV 200) an allowance management is available for deposit products.

Allowances are amounts that a customer can withdraw during a withdrawal period without incurring interest penalty. These arise from periodically specified withdrawal allowances, periodically available interest, and from amount notice.

The system transfers the rules for the periodic allowances from the product. You maintain these for the product and can change them on the account. If an allowance has already been utilized for the current period, a change to the rule takes effect only in the next period.

Effects on Customizing

When you maintain the transaction types (choose Account Management → Basic Functions for Account Management → Maintain Transaction Types), you need to set the Post Interest Penaltyindicator for payment operations that mean a utilization of the allowances. This indicator is not evaluated for transaction types that generate a credit.
