Changes to the IMG Structure for Loans Management

Use

As of SAP ECC 5.00, Financial Services (EA-FS 500), the structure of the implementation guide (IMG) for Loans Management has changed.

Additional activities

Transaction Management

  • Under the new Products structure node, you will find the IMG activity for setting up products for the product category consumer loans (340).
  • Under Flow Types, you will find the following new IMG activities:
  • Determine Relevant Flow Types for Credit Life Insurance

  • Determine Flow Types for Condition Table

  • Under Condition Types, you will find the following new IMG activities:
  • Assign Condition Types to Condition Groups per Application in the IMG activity Define Condition Groups.

  • Determine Condition Types for Condition Table

  • Determine Condition Types for Inclusion in Loan Contract

Master Data

  • Under Basic Settings, you will find the following new IMG activities and Business Add-Ins (BAdIs):
  • Define Indicators for Interface Fields

Deleted Activities

Transaction Management

The IMG activity Assign Update Types to Usages has been deleted under Update Types. You will now find the content of this IMG activity under Define Update Types and Assign Usages.

Information System

All the IMG activities except for Define Partner Roles Relevant for Regulatory Reporting (GBA 24c) have been deleted from the SAP standard IMG under Regulatory Reporting. You will find further information under "Remarks on Regulatory Reporting" in this document.

Reassigned IMG activities

Functions

  • Under Business Operations, the following IMG activities that used to be under Payoff can now be found under the new structure Payoff/Notice:
  • Define Cash Flow Behavior

  • Payoff

  • Business Add Ins (BAdIs)

You will find further information under "Remarks on Payoff/Notice" in this document.

Renamed activities

  • The IMG activity Define Update Types is now called Define Update Types and Assign Usages, and also includes the content of the earlier IMG activity Assign Update Types to Usages.
  • The IMG activity Define Roles and Role types for Partner Copy is now called Define Roles for Partner Copy.
  • The IMG activity Assign Dunning Parameters and Limit Amount to Application / Role Category is now called Assign Dunning Parameters and Limit Amount to Application / Role.

Remarks on Payoff/Notice

The Payoff section was replaced by the Payoff/Notice section. In addition to the previous Payoff section, this now includes the new section Payoff for Consumer Loans and Notice for Consumer Loans.

For loans belonging to the mortgage (300) category, you use the payoff function for notice given both by the borrower and the lender.

For loans belonging to the consumer loans (340) category, you use the functions in the following way:

  • Payoff for consumer loans for notice given by the borrower
  • Notice for consumer loans for notice given by the lender.

The IMG activities that you can use for all three functions hang directly underneath the new, higher-level structure node Payoff/Notice.

Remarks on Regulatory Reporting

Under Information System the IMG activities for regulatory reporting for banks and insurance companies have been reorganized in different sections:

  • Regulatory Reporting
Under this structure node you will now find the required IMG activities for regulatory reporting for banks.
  • Regulatory Reporting for Insurance
Under this structure node you will now find the IMG activities necessary for the regulatory reporting requirements for the German insurance supervisory authority, namely for the component Regulatory Reporting for Insurance (FS-SR). This supports the legal requirements in the field of investments that were introduced in 2003.
The IMG activities for the component Regulatory Reporting for Insurance (FS-SR) that was valid until 2002 is still available in the separate IMG structure ISSR: Settings for Regulatory Reporting Until 2002 (under Loans).
