SAP Business Partner for Financial Services (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP ECC 5.00, Financial Services (EA-FS 500), the following functions for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services have been changed or enhanced:

  • Archiving (new)
Archiving for the business partner has now been released in the Financial Services extension too.
You can archive business partners after you have set the archiving indicator, using the transaction SARA, and delete them afterwards (archiving object CA_BUPA). This reduces data volume, and improves performance.
You can use the report Set Deletion/Archiving Indicator (transaction BUPA_PRE_DA) to set the archiving indicator automatically.
To determine how long the business partner to be archived remains in the system, you can set the residence time for the business partners selected by this report in the IMG activity Define Residence Time of the Business Partners to Be Archived.
When archiving the business partner, the report checks whether it is permissible to archive the business partner from an application perspective. Customer applications that use the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services have to check this independently.
You cannot assume that the business partner and the application exist in the same physical system. If the physical system differs, you can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) Read RFC Destination to indicate the RFC destination for the check.
You will find further information on the IMG activity in the documentation, as well as under Changes to the IMG for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services.
You will find more information on archiving in the SAP Library by choosing SAP Business Partner for Financial Services -> Functions -> Archiving.
  • Total Commitment (new)
Total Commitment is available in this release in support package 7.
In the first stage, Loans Management (CML) is connected to the new Total Commitment framework. With the Total Commitment framework you can display a cross-system summary of the business partners accounts and contracts, with a limited amount of master data and flow data, on the Total Commitment tab page. Other applications can be connected to the extendable Total Commitment framework to meet specific needs.
To adapt Total Commitment to your requirements, make the corresponding settings in Customizing for Total Commitment in the following IMG activities:
  • Make the settings for total commitment under Set Total Commitment

  • Check total commitment for data consistency under Check Settings for Total Commitment

  • Implement your own enhancements for total commitment in the individual IMG activities under Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)

You will find further information in the documentation for the relevant IMG activities, as well as under Changes to the IMG for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services.
To process the total commitment, the following Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs) are available:
  • GetDetail (Read Contract Information for Total Commitment)

  • ItemsCreateMultiple (Enter Contract Information in Buffer Tables)

  • ItemsDeleteMultiple (Delete Contract Information from Buffer Tables)

  • Business Partner Roles (enhanced)
  • Role data

In connection with the enhanced business partner roles (BP roles) concept for the SAP Business Partner (Business Partner Role (Extended)), the Role Data tab page with the Role Overview function is replaced by the Detail pushbutton on the BP Role. You can process roles for the business partner with the Detail pushbutton on the BP role: You can get an overview of all the assigned roles and all the roles valid on a key date, display and process the validity period for a role, delete a role assignment and generate a where-used list for a role.
The new role concept has the following effects on the business partner role type:
The role type in the role overview is converted with the report Convert Role Type and Role Type Description (RFSBP_CONV_TPZ6_TB003) to a business partner role. You can further subdivide business partner roles only by making Customizing settings for the BP role.
The role types for Loans Management (FS CML) are retained, and are now called Role Types for Correspondence. You will find further information on the effects of the new role concept on the role type for correspondence under Adjustments for Enhanced SAP BP Concept (Changed).
The option of defining the role overview authorization groups for business partner roles is no longer available with the new role concept.
  • Conversion reports

The following conversion reports exist in conjunction with the enhanced business partner role concept (Business Partner Role (enhanced)) for the SAP Business Partner:
- Convert role type and role type description (RFSBP_CONV_TPZ6_TB003)
- Convert release status parameter values (RFSBP_CONV_ZGP_FRG1)
- Check and correct assignment of BP roles/views in target clients (RFSBP_DELETE_DISPENSABLE:TBZ0)
For more information on the use of the report, see the respective report documentation.
  • Direct Input

The direct input modules FSBP_DARL_MAINTAIN_INTERN (Maintain Business Partner Direct Input) and FTB_BUPA_DARK_MAINTAIN_INTERN (Create/Link Business Partner with Known Vendor Data) were adapted to the new role concept in accordance with SAP Business Partner specifications.
  • Parallel Data Supply to the Real Estate Business Partner in the Context of Business Partner Conversion (changed)
Parallel data supply is no longer supported between the Real Estate Business Partner and the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services. You will find further information in SAP Note 687037 and in the SAP Library by choosing SAP Business Partner for Financial Services -> Functions -> Business Partner Conversion -> Deactivating Parallel Maintenance for the Business Partner.
  • Link to SAP Global Trade Services (new)
In order to comply with the legal regulations that exist in various countries, you can extract business partner data for carrying out Sanctioned Party List Screening (SPL Screening) to SAP Global Trade Services. The relevant business partners are transferred through the SAP Exchange Infrastructure.
You will find further information on connecting the business partner to SAP Global Trade Services in the SAP Library by choosing SAP Business Partner for Financial Services -> Functions -> Connecting the SAP Business Partner to SAP GTS.
  • Connection to the Data Retention Tool (new)
In order to meet legal requirements for data storage and reporting, you can extract business partner data, as a component of application data such as contract data for Corporate Finance Management (CFM), to the Data Retention Tool (DART).
You can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) Extraction of Additional Business Partners to DART to extract additional business partner data.
You will find further information in the documentation for the relevant IMG activity, as well as under Changes to the IMG for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services. You will find further information on the connection to the Data Retention Tool in the SAP Library by choosing SAP Business Partner for Financial Services ->Functions -> Extraction of Business Partner Data to the Data Retention Tool.
  • German Federal Bank (LZB) country indicator (new)
As part of the regulatory reporting data, you can assign the German Federal Bank country indicator to the business partner. The country indicator is issued by the German Federal Statistics Office for the purpose of reporting to the German Federal Bank, as required by the German Foreign Trade Regulations (AWVO).
You make the required settings for the country indicator in Customizing for the regulatory reporting data, in the IMG activity Define Country Indicators in Accordance with German Federal Bank. You will find further information in the documentation for the relevant IMG activity, as well as under Changes to the IMG for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services.
  • Phonetic search term (changed)
The length of the phonetic search term field was extended from 20 to 80 characters. In order to adapt existing phonetic search terms, you have to execute the report CREATE_PHON_STRING (phonetic search term) for each client in your system. You can execute the report at any time.
Further information is available in the report documentation.
  • Time-dependency of address usage(changed)
You can assign several addresses to the same address usage for the same, or for overlapping periods of time. For further information, see Time-Dependency for Addresses (new).
  • The following functions have not been released for SAP ECC 5.00, Financial Services (EA-FS 500):
