Calculating BCA Interest Compensation Hierarchies (New)

Use

As of SAP R/3 Enterprise Financial Services 2.00 (EA-FINSERV 200) you have the option of transferring from interest compensation hierarchies. Up until now, it was not possible to transfer from interest compensation hierarchies, although with the interest accrual/deferral method "5" ("transferring calculatory interest from BCA"), already available in the earlier releases, it was possible to determine interest at individual account level from Bank Customer Accounts (BCA) and to transfer it to Profitability Analysis. The interest compensation is based on the results of the interest accrual/deferral method "6" ("Transferring accrued/deferred interest from BCA") as well as on the function for transferring charges and commission from BCA. This method reads the interest and charges already determined in BCA at individual account level and transfers them into Profitability Analysis, where you can display at individual account level, as well as display taking an account hierarchy into consideration.

With the interest compensation hierarchy, the account balances are determined at subaccount level, and transferred to the root account, which displays the subaccounts' aggregated profitability. Without interest compensation hierarchies only the individual (sub)accounts from the hierarchy are collated; the root account however does not include the interest from the subaccounts.
