Operational and Strategic Reporting with the Business Information Warehouse (BW)

Scope of Functions

As of Release 2.0B, SAP Business-to-Business Procurement is integrated with the Business Information Warehouse (BW) to provide sophisticated reporting. The Business Information Warehouse is used for both operational and strategic analysis:

  • Operational reporting is realized using the new ODS (operational data storage) technology.
  • Strategic reporting based on aggregated data is realized using standard BW technology.

BW reporting for SAP Business-to-Business Procurement provides the following analyses:

Analyses available for Materials Management in Business-to-Business Procurement

  • Order volume per purchasing group
  • Order volume per purchasing organization
  • Order volume per product
  • Order volume per product category
  • Order volume per vendor
  • Order volume per catalog
  • Order volume per requester

Analyses based on individual documents available for Materials Management in Business-to-Business Procurement

  • Order documents per vendor or requester
  • Order documents per product or product category
  • Order documents per purchase order number
  • Order documents per account assignment
  • Goods receipt/service confirmation documents per purchase order number
  • Goods receipt/service confirmation documents per vendor
  • Invoices per purchase order number
  • Invoices per vendor
  • Order documents per purchasing group or purchasing organization
