EAFS_BCA_BUSOPR_2: SEPA Direct Debits (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, Enterprise Extension Financial Services (EA-FS 605), business function SAP Deposits: Business Operations in Account Management 2 (EAFS_BCA_BUSOPR_2), you are provided with SEPA direct debit functions. These enable you to manage your incoming and outgoing direct debits for payments in the single euro payments area (SEPA).

To support the SEPA B2B scenario, the system runs additional checks on the mandate information (defined in the system for the recipient party) for incoming payment items where the extended mandate check is set for the transaction type.

The system checks that the following data on the incoming payment item matches the information in the mandate:

  • Creditor ID
  • Mandate reference
  • Debtor IBAN
  • BIC (SWIFT) of debtor bank
  • Mandate validity and status

The system executes these checks for payment items created by BAPI only.

Business Add-In BADI_BKK_EXTD_MND_CHECKS is also available, which enables you to define additional checks for incoming SDD orders, stop the processing of the payment transactions and raise an error message, and to skip the extended mandate check.

When a payment item with the extended mandate check is successfully posted, the system updates the mandate usage.

The system allows you to force the payment item posting if an extended mandate check finds errors. If a payment item was created by BAPI, and the extended mandate check finds errors, this payment item goes into postprocessing.

Note:

For all payment item postings, the system bases its checks on mandates defined in the system for the recipient party.

In the system, you can process outgoing SDD orders by using external and foreign payment orders for one-time collections and standing orders for recurring collections.

The system identifies an order as an SDD order if:

  • The ordering party is credited.
  • You have set up the payment control of the payment method as being According to SEPA.
  • You have activated the mandate check for the recipient transaction type.

You can define the creditor ID, mandate reference, and due date in the SDD order. For all mandate checks, the system uses the mandate data defined in the system for the ordering party. When you create an SDD order, the system always forwards the recipient item to the payment transaction system (even for internal recipients).

The ordering party triggers the SDD order for collection some days before the due date. To enable the account balance of the ordering party to reflect the correct balance, you can calculate the subject to final payment(SFP) balance based on the due date. The SFP on Due Date indicator is provided for this purpose in the condition dialog box.

Business Add-In BADI_BKK_STOR_SDD_COMPUTE_DATE is available, which enables you to define your own logic for calculating the next run date and due date for recurring collections. You are also provided with a default implementation for this BAdI.

When an SDD payment order is successfully posted, the system updates the mandate usage, and displays this on the mandate screens.
