Short text
CCM Graphical Monitor User Interface Changes
Description
CCMS (the Computing Center Management System) provides a range of graphical monitors with which to oversee and manage important functions in your SAP system using a convenient graphical user interface.
Release 3.0 includes the following navigation and operating improvements to these monitors:
- SAP Alert Monitor: Only the most frequently used functions, like Dialog-Perform, Alert-Text, and Timer, now appear as PF keys. All other functions are in the menus.
- Job Scheduling and System/Startup Monitors: SAP Business Graphic functions that do not work in the monitors are not displayed in Release 3.0 and later.
- Job Scheduling Monitor: The SAP Business Graphic now displays messages from Job Processing (Background Job Management functions) in a pop-up box, for example "Job
was changed".
- System/Startup Monitor: Each function is now available in all monitor views, so you can now branch to Alert details from the Startup view or start and stop instances from the Alert view.
- A legend is now also available for the display. You can toggle this on and off by choosing Settings -> Legend.
- Also, you can now turn an explanatory text on and off for all the nodes (instances) in the display. When the mouse pointer touches a node, the following information is presented:
- In the Startup view:- the instance status (for example "Operation mode unexpected").
- In the System/Status view:- the instance Alert status (for example "Red Alert").
