New functionality of the Data Modeler
Description
The Data Modeler includes the following new functionality:
- new navigation to the Business Navigator
- new navigation to the Business Object Repository
- simplified navigation to the hierarchical display of SAP applications and architecture
- similarity search for entity types
- reduced view of the hierarchical list
- automatic save of the definition of an entity type when creating from Graphics
- Enhancement of the list in the function Get environment
- Enhancement of the print options from the Information System
- Change to version management

Navigation to the Business Navigator
Starting from the graphics and the definition screens for entity types and data models, you can go to the Business Navigator via the function Goto --> Processes/Functions.
Navigation to the Business Object Repository
Starting from the graphics and the definition screens for entity types and data models, you can go to the Business Object Repository via the function Goto --> Object type.
Navigation to the hierarchical display of the SAP applications and architecture
On the initial screen are the pushbuttons SAP Applications and SAP-Architecture, that allow a quick navigation to the hierarchical display of the corresponding model.
Similarity search of entity types
To prevent redundant creation of entity types, you can use the function Goto --> Search for similar entity types to search for similar entity types according to the short description after entering an entity type in the definition screen In this case, the short descriptions are reduced to fragments. All overlaps with available entity types are output in a list that you can then navigate further.
Reduced view of the hierarchical list
So that you can distinguish between "important" and "unimportant" entity types within a data model, the display options for the data model include an indicator reduced. If this indicator is set, these entity types are also displayed after switching from the standard view to the reduced view of the hierarchical list.
Enhancement of the with the function Get environment
In the graphics, you can call the list of predecessors or successors as before. The feature that allows the types of relationships to also be displayed on the list, is new. In addition, the list is sorted according to relationship categories.
Printing from the Information System
The print options were enhanced so that you can choose to print only the data model definitions. Printing is carried out in sequence from the search list. It is also possible to sort according to the short description.
Change of Version Management
The Version Management was changed to the master language.
