Version management: New functions

Description

Archiving

As of Release 4.5A you can archive versions of Repository objects. SAP recommends that you do this if the version management data tables VRSX and VRSX2 take up too much space in the database.

Creation of versions during import

Each time you release a change request, versions of the objects that it contains are stored in the version database. As of Release 4.5A, you can set your system so that versions of the transported objects are created immediately before and after the import as well. You can use these versions in a production system to check which status of an object was active at which time.
