BEx Query Designer: Consistency Check for Meta Data (New)

Use

Until now, queries whose meta data had been deleted from the server could no longer be changed (for example, if an InfoObject used by a query had been removed from the InfoCube).

From Release 3.0, a consistency check of meta data will take place when the Query Designer is started. The user will be told which meta data is missing, and can then recreate the missing meta data manually (thus undoing the delete action) or request automatic correction of the query. This deletes from the query all parts that refer to the missing meta data. Obviously, a query corrected in this way is no longer in its original state. However, it can be further processed and manually adjusted in line with the new meta data.
