SP3: Changes to the Web Application Designer (Changed)

Use

  • You can now overwrite existing Web templates. As a prerequisite, the user must also be able to delete the existing Web template.
  • You can create and save documentation for Web templates, Web item libraries and Web items.
  • Maintenance of multiple-value attributes (for example, the list of Data Providers affected) is now supported by the interface. By doing this, entering the associated parameter in the HTML text may not be necessary in many cases.
  • The dialog box for settings for graphics has been revised and connected to the online help.
  • You can call the dialog boxes for settings for graphics and for map layers directly from the menu bar.
  • When you execute and export a Web template it is no longer saved automatically.
  • You can now delete the specified date from the calendar dialog box.
  • The text in the HTML view has improved formatting.
  • Place holders for SAP_BW_TEXT elements are displayed in the layout view.
  • Upon start-up, the system checks whether at least Internet Explorer 5 (Service Pack 1) is installed.
  • When you load Web templates that contain HTML frame sets, a warning message appears and the Web template is not loaded.
