IS-PS: Changes to Object Descriptions in Funds Management and Relocation (changed)

Use

With the introduction of the new component Public Sector Management (PSM) in this release, ODS Objects, InfoCubes and InfoSources from the industry component IS-PS were moved the component PSM. If you want to continue using BW Release 3.0B as an IS-PS customer, you can still use these objects despite the relocation. Note that the descriptions of the objects were changed and the component ID was (IS-PS) was removed from the objects descriptions with the move to component PSM. You can now find the objects in the application hierarchy of the administrator workbench under Financials Management & Controlling -> Public Sector Management -> Funds Management.

The budget control system, a new budgeting tool, was introduced in Funds Management with the Enterprise Release. Identification was necessary due to the individual assignment of the objects to one of the two budgeting tools. The objects InfoProvider, InfoObjects and are divided according to former budgeting (former) and budget control system (BCS) into different substructures. In addition, the ID (BCS) or (former) was added to the object description for budget evaluation. The unofficial description of the budget control system for BW Release 3.0A is new budget processor.

Effects on Existing Data

Otherwise, the introduction of the new component PSM has no effect on the reporting functions in IS-PS.
