/CPD/CA_CPD_PWS_1: Cross-Project Information (Changed)
Use
As of SAP Commercial Project Management 1.0, SP00, SP03, and SP04(comprising add-ons on SAP enhancement package 6 SP07 for SAP ERP and SAP enhancement package 3 SP07 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0), business function CPD, Project Workspace (/CPD/CA_CPD_PWS_1), you can view consolidated information across business objects in a master project. The Cross-Project View provides the following functions:
- A search option to search for master projects and either view them or add them to a personal category
- A categorized view of master projects
- Information on key dates such as next milestone, last reviewed on, last invoiced on, and next billing date
- Information about actual and planned values for key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost, revenue, margin, percentage of completion (POC), work in progress (WIP), and so on
- View alerts for default or personalized alert conditions for:
- Actual and planned costs
- Overdue billing events
- Overdue billing requests
- Overdue customer payments
- Duration of overdue goods receipts
- Duration of overdue vendor invoices
- Outstanding customer payments
- Overdue unapproved service entry sheets
- Overdue vendor payments
- Work in progress
- Total number of issues
- Total number of change request
- Information about the latest status of the master project and the evolving trend
- Options to personalize categories, KPIs, and alerts
- The option to move or copy master projects from one category to another (in the context menu)
- Navigation to milestone checklists from the Cross-Project View (see Milestone Checklist (New))
- Display of the contact person of a master project in the Cross-Project View
- Personalization of the navigation sequence in a flexible manner; for example, the first 3 items in the navigation sequence can be personalized to display frequently accessed menu items
- Personalization of the sequence of master projects in manually created categories (Cross-Project View -> Options-> Sequence Settings)
- You can define the following calculated key performance indicators (KPIs) to be displayed in Cross-Project View (see Customizing for SAP Commercial Project Management-> Master Data '-> Master Project-> Define KPIs):
- Calculated KPI: You choose this option to define simple formulas for calculated KPIs.
- Calculated KPI (Percentage): You choose this option to specify that the calculated KPI must be represented as a percentage value.
- Calculated KPI (with BRFplus): You choose this option to define complex formulas for calculated KPIs, by using Business Rule Framework plus (BRFplus).

Effects on System Administration
Retrieval of KPI values from business objects in the master project can be performance intensive especially for master projects that are frequently accessed or contain large number of business objects. System administrators can run Report for Buffering Cross-Project View Data (/CPD/R_MPROJ_BUFFRNG_FOR_USERS) to buffer data for selected master projects. After buffering, the system fetches KPI and alert values from the buffer rather than from the database, leading to improved performance.
