Description

New sections

The following sections are new in Batch Management

  • 'Initial Batch Creation'
  • 'Active Ingredient Management'
  • 'Product Quantities Management'

All Customizing settings for active ingredient management are described in a new section of the IMG.

Changed sections

The section 'Internal Batch Number Assignment' has been renamed 'Batch Number Assignment'.

In the section 'Batch Search Procedure Allocation and Check Activation' in 'Batch Determination and Batch Check', the topic 'Assign search procedure to production, activate check' was created. It includes two existing sections (for Release 3.0), and three new sections.

  • 'Assign search procedure to run schedule header'

  • 'Assign search procedure to KANBAN'

The term 'CFC' has been replaced by 'Customer exit' in the following three sections:

  • in 'Batch Number Assignment':
  • 'Configure customer exits for internal batch number assignment'

  • in 'Characteristic Value Assignment for Batches'
  • 'Customer exit for classification of user-defined characs.'

  • 'Customer exit for maintaining batch master data of new batches'

In 'Characteristic Value Assignment for Batches', the existing sections

  • 'Activate batch classification for goods movements in IM'

  • 'Customer exit for classification of user-defined characs.'

  • 'Customer exit for maintaining batch master data of new batches'

have been grouped together in the section 'Valuation for goods movement in inventory management'

The chapter 'Valuation for creation of new batches using function

module' is new and has the following sub-sections

  • 'Customer exit for determining source batch'

  • 'Customer exit for activating batch classification'

  • 'Customer exit for classification of user-defined characstic.'

  • 'Customer exit for maintning batch master data for new batches'

The section

  • 'Activate batch status checking in Warehouse Management' was added to

the new section 'Batch Status Management', and the section

  • 'Customer exit for determining the initial status of batches'

was added.
