Plan structures remodeled
Description
The functions for defining plan structures has been redesigned to use the standard hierarchy functions in Release 4.0.
Additional functions now available include the creation of attributes. The attributes of a plan structure are those characteristics that are not checked in the plan structure check. This particularly applies to those characteristics that can be derived from the characteristics in the plan structure.

You define your plan structures in Customizing:
Changes in procedure
You need to observe the following rules when designing plan structures:
- Each characteristic can occur only at one level of the plan structure within a single branch.
- All the nodes directly below a single node must represent different characteristic values of the same characteristic.
- Characteristics that are defined as attributes cannot be added to the plan structure and vice versa.
